Clareon Vivity is Alcon's non-diffractive extended depth of focus (EDOF) intraocular lens. Where a traditional multifocal lens splits incoming light into separate focal points — which can create halos and glare — Vivity uses proprietary X-WAVE technology to gently stretch and shift a single wavefront of light. The result is a continuous, uninterrupted range of vision from distance through intermediate, with a night-time visual quality that is very close to a standard monofocal lens.

The lens is built on Alcon's Clareon biomaterial, an advanced acrylic engineered for exceptional clarity and one of the lowest rates of glistenings and surface haze of any modern IOL — qualities that support crisp, stable vision for the life of the lens.
