Dr. Angineh Almasi came to the United States in 1986 and was raised in Burbank, California. She attended the University of California, Los Angeles, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology. After receiving her degree, she decided to become an optometrist out of her love for the medical field, and graduated with her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2010.

During her undergraduate years, Dr. Almasi participated in the CLEK research study at the Jules Stein Eye Institute, David Geffen School of Medicine, for patients with corneal conditions. In her schooling and career she has received many awards of honor and excellence in the field of eye care, and she is fluent in both Armenian and English.

Dr. Almasi has been co-managing ophthalmic medical procedures her entire career and LASIK since 2010. She takes tremendous pride in providing her patients with the highest level of care—whether she is writing a prescription, diagnosing and managing medical conditions, or referring a patient for a surgical consultation. She chooses to work with the most experienced surgeons who use state-of-the-art technology, and enjoys educating her patients on the benefits a procedure provides, whether it is a lifestyle choice, a convenience, or a medical necessity.

In her leisure time, you may find Dr. Almasi hiking one of the many trails around Los Angeles. She donates her time to charities and organizations such as OneSight, which provides free eye exams and glasses for those in need. Above all, she loves spending quality time with family and friends—and giving back to her community.
