Dr. Jane Kim grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, and completed her undergraduate studies at Berry College, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She took a gap year and taught English in Korea before going on to receive her Doctor of Optometry degree at the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, California.
Dr. Kim’s clinical training includes internships at VA Loma Linda Hospital, the VA Outpatient Clinic in downtown Los Angeles, and the University Eye Centers in Anaheim and Los Angeles. She is a certified fitter of Paragon Corneal Refractive Therapy and orthokeratology, as well as SynergEyes hybrid lenses.
For the last 10 years, Dr. Kim has been involved with the nonprofit organization Young & Healthy, providing no-cost exams for uninsured and underinsured youth in the Pasadena area.
When she’s not in the office, she and her husband like to eat, hike, and go to concerts. She is also a busy dance mom of two.
